A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT amending the definition of health care provider in article 1b of chapter 90 of the general statutes to include paramedics.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  G.S. 90‑21.11(1) reads as rewritten:

"(1)      Health care provider. – Without limitation, any of the following:

…

e. Any paramedic, as defined in G.S. 131E‑155(15a)."

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law and applies to causes of action arising on or after that date.
