AN ACT TO AMEND G.S. 7‑70 RELATING TO THE TERMS OF SUPERIOR COURT TO BE HELD IN GRANVILLE COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1.  That portion of G.S. 7‑70 which sets forth the terms of Superior Court to be held in Granville County is hereby amended by deleting the words "the sixth Monday before the first Monday in September" from lines three and four and inserting in lieu thereof the words "the seventh Monday before the first Monday in September."

Sec. 1 1/2.  That portion of G.S. 7‑70 which sets forth the terms of Superior Court to be held in Granville County is hereby further amended by adding a new paragraph to read as follows: "In addition to the terms of court provided for above there shall be held in the County of Granville the following term of court: The fifth Monday before the first Monday in March to continue one week for the trial of civil cases only. The Chief Justice shall assign a judge to hold the term of court set forth in this paragraph."

Sec. 2.  All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3.  This Act shall become effective July 1, 1961.
