AN ACT TO APPROPRIATE FROM THE CONTINGENCY AND EMERGENCY FUND THE SUM OF FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS TO THE NORTH CAROLINA SYMPHONY SOCIETY, INCORPORATED, TO COVER A DEFICIT IN OPERATING EXPENSES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1960‑1961.

 

WHEREAS, during the fiscal year 1960‑1961 the North Carolina Symphony Society, Incorporated, has incurred a deficit as a result of increased operational expenses and the loss of receipts in the amount of fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000.00); and

WHEREAS, appropriations made to the North Carolina Symphony Society, Incorporated, in the biennium 1959‑1961 are insufficient to cover this deficit: Now, therefore,

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1.  There is hereby appropriated from the Contingency and Emergency Fund to the North Carolina Symphony Society, Incorporated, the sum of fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000.00).

Sec. 2.  All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3.  This Act shall be in effect from and after the date of its ratification.
