HOUSE BILL 260

AN ACT RELATING TO THE COMPENSATION OF THE REGISTER OF DEEDS WHILE SERVING AS EX OFFICIO CLERK TO THE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF CASWELL COUNTY.

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1. Section 2 of Chapter 407 of the 1947 Session Laws of North Carolina is hereby repealed.

Sec. 2. The provisions of G. S. 153-40, providing for the compensation of the register of deeds as ex officio clerk of the board of county commissioners shall apply to Caswell County.

Sec. 3. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
