AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 146 OF THE SESSION LAWS OF 1959 FOR THE PURPOSE OF FIXING THE FEES FOR JURORS AND GRAND JURORS IN WASHINGTON COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Amend Section 1 of Chapter 146 of the Session Laws of 1959 by striking out, in lines three and four of said Section, the words and figures "seven dollars ($7.00)", and by inserting in lieu thereof the following: "eight dollars ($8.00)", it being the intent and purpose of this Act to fix the fees for jurors and grand jurors in Washington County in an amount of eight dollars ($8.00) per day for such jury duty.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
