AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF HALIFAX COUNTY TO LEVY A SPECIAL TAX TO BE USED TO ENLARGE THE COUNTY COURTHOUSE.
The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:
Section 1. The Board of County Commissioners of Halifax County is authorized to levy a special ad valorem tax for the fiscal years 1961-1962 and 1962-1963 of not to exceed ten cents (10¢) on each one hundred dollar ($100.00) valuation of real and personal property in said county for the special purpose of enlarging the Halifax County Courthouse.
Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.
Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
