HOUSE BILL 984

 

 

AN ACT RELATING TO THE ADVERTISEMENT AND SALE OF TAX LIENS ON REAL PROPERTY IN THE TOWN OF GIBSONVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. The advertisement and sale of tax liens on real property in the Town of Gibsonville, North Carolina, shall be governed by the General Statutes of North Carolina, G. S. 105-387, as now or hereafter written; provided, that tax liens on real property located in that part of town lying in Guilford County shall be advertised in some newspaper published in Guilford County and tax liens on real property located in that part of town lying in Alamance County shall be advertised in some newspaper published in Alamance County; provided, further, that it shall be sufficient to advertise tax liens on real property in the town in only one newspaper provided said newspaper is either published in the Town of Gibsonville or the publisher thereof maintains an office or place of business in the Town of Gibsonville.

Sec. 2. Chapter 388, Public-Local and Private Laws of 1939, entitled "An Act to Fix the Time and Place for the Advertisement and Sale of Lands for Taxes in the Town of Gibsonville", is hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after January 1, 1962.
