AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE airport COMMISSION of forsyth county tO CONVEY ALL OF THE REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY OF THE AIRPORT COMMission to an entity established by forsyth county and to dissolve the airport commission.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1. On or before June 30, 2019, the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners may, by ordinance or resolution, establish an entity to replace the Airport Commission of Forsyth County (hereinafter "Commission"), created pursuant to Chapter 610 of the Session Laws of 1949, as amended by Chapter 383 of the Session Laws of 1967.
SECTION 2. Within 60 days of the establishment of the entity to replace the Commission as provided in Section 1 of this act, the Commission shall release, quitclaim, and convey in fee all the real and personal property held, owned, leased, or managed by the Commission to the entity without consideration. Upon completion of the transfer as provided for in this section, the entity established as provided in Section 1 of this act shall assume all of the Commission's contracts, liabilities, and obligations, including, but not limited to, leases and subleases.
SECTION 3. Upon the completion of the transfer of all real and personal property of the Commission to the entity established as provided in Section 1 of this act, the Commission shall be deemed abolished, and Chapter 610 of the Session Laws of 1949, as amended by Chapter 383 of the Session Laws of 1967, shall be deemed repealed as of the date the transfer of the property to the entity established as provided in Section 1 of this act has been completed.
SECTION 4. This act is effective when it becomes law.
