SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 88

A JOINT RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE FOR THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AND THE SENATE TO ELECT MEMBERS TO THE STATE BOARD OF COMMUNITY COLLEGES.

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

SECTION 1.  Pursuant to G.S. 115D-2.1(b)(4)f., the House of Representatives and the Senate shall elect members to the State Board of Community Colleges during the regular sessions of the two chambers to be held on Thursday, April 14, 2011.  At that time the House of Representatives shall elect one member to the State Board for a term of six years beginning July 1, 2011.  The Senate also shall elect one member to the State Board for a term of six years beginning July 1, 2011.

SECTION 2.  Each chamber shall follow the procedure set out in G.S. 115D-2.1 for the nomination and election of members to the State Board.

SECTION 3.  This resolution is effective upon ratification.

In the General Assembly read three times and ratified this the 1^st day of March, 2011.
