A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to repeal house bill 2 of the 2016 second extra session and to appropriate funds to the human relations commission.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  S.L. 2016‑3 of the 2016 Second Extra Session is repealed.

SECTION 2.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Administration, Human Relations Commission, the sum of five hundred forty‑five thousand four hundred seven dollars ($545,407) in recurring funds for the 2016‑2017 fiscal year to be used for operating expenses.

SECTION 3.  Section 2 of this act becomes effective July 1, 2016. The remainder of this act becomes effective March 23, 2016. Any local ordinance, resolution, regulation, or policy enacted prior to March 23, 2016, is not abated or affected by S.L. 2016‑3, and the local ordinance, resolution, regulation, or policy that would be valid but for the enactment of S.L. 2016‑3 remains valid.
