AN ACT to clarify when the registration of a vehicle renewed by means of a new registration plate expires.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  G.S. 20‑66(g1) reads as rewritten:

"(g1)    Expiration of Registration by Other Means. – The registration of a vehicle renewed by means of a new registration plate expires atis valid through midnight on February 15 of each year."

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
