A SENATE RESOLUTION providing for the confirmation of the governor's appointments to the board of trustees of the teachers' and state EmploYees' retirement system.

Whereas, the provisions of G.S. 135‑6 require that appointees to the Board of Trustees of the North Carolina Teachers' and State Employees' Retirement System be confirmed by the North Carolina Senate; and

Whereas, the Governor has submitted to the presiding officer of the Senate the names of his appointees; Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

SECTION 1.  The appointments of Margaret C. Reader of Wake County, active State employee; Cecil Vernon Gammon of Rockingham County, public member; Joshua J. Smith of Iredell County, public member; and David L. German of Wake County, State law enforcement officer, to the Board of Trustees of the Teachers' and State Employees' Retirement System for a term to expire March 31, 2017, are confirmed.

SECTION 2.  The appointments of Oliver A. Holley of Hertford County, active teacher; Linder H. Gunter of Wake County, retired teacher; Jeffery S. Winstead of Wake County, retired State employee; and Lieutenant Colonel John H. Ebbighausen of Wake County, National Guard member, to the Board of Trustees of the Teachers' and State Employees' Retirement System for terms to expire June 30, 2017, are confirmed.

SECTION 3.  This resolution is effective upon adoption.
