S257 - Appropriations Act of 2017. (SL 2017-57)

Overview: Section 34.20 of S.L. 2017-57 amends the Appropriations Act of 2014, which directed the Division of Aviation of the Department of Transportation to sell the Sikorsky S-76C helicopter as expeditiously as possible in order to modernize its fleet. This section revises that provision to require the Division to contract with an outside vendor with experience in the sale of aviation equipment to sell the helicopter. The Division is required to contract with a vendor by August 1, 2017, and report details of the contract to the Joint Legislative Transportation Oversight Committee by August 15, 2017.

This section became effective July 1, 2017.
